8HP Manual Park Release Kit — BMW GEN2/3 (RWD Only)

Fits GEN2/3 8HP park release lever arms with a single-hole design (no "jam screw"). If your transmission has a jam-screw style lever arm, you need our GEN1 kit instead.

Manual Park Release Kit for RWD BMW GEN2/3 8HP50, 8HP51, 8HP75 and 8HP76 transmissions. A true bolt-on installation: no cutting, no drilling, no modification to the transmission.

FITMENT: RWD ONLY. The current version does not clear the front driveshaft on xDrive/AWD vehicles. An AWD version is in development. Contact us to be notified when it's available.

BMW never equipped these transmissions with a manual park release. If the battery is dead, the vehicle has lost power, or there's a mechanical failure, the transmission stays locked in park. This kit gives you a way out: pull the handle and the vehicle is free to roll. No crawling under the car, no fiddling and frustration on the track or the street.

Not compatible: xDrive/AWD vehicles (X3 M, X4 M, M340i xDrive, M3/M4 xDrive, etc.). AWD version in development.
